Upcoming Meetings
Here you will find the details of upcoming monthly meetings, as well as collaborative meetings with other networks.
Monthly meetings are free to attend, require no booking, and you are free to come and go as you please. The meetings are informal and there’s no need to be there from the start – just pop in as you wish! The end time is entirely optional too – many people stay much later to carry on their conversations!
From June 2025 we’re introducing a new element to meetings: At 8pm, we’ll briefly stop the conversation to share any announcements that the admins have been asked to pass on – upcoming film festivals, casting opportunities, open days etc. You’ll also have the opportunity to tell the group about upcoming shows etc. but only if you want to! This isn’t a sales pitch, it’s an opportunity to share useful information with the network.
We’re blessed with a friendly group and we always love seeing new members. If you’re nervous about coming along on your own for the first time, just drop us a message in advance and we’ll make sure you’re introduced to some friendly faces so you feel part of the group straight away.

Monthly Meetings
These take place on the first Thursday of every month (with occasional exceptions – see the list on the right for the latest info) and we meet in the Cafe at Phoenix, 4 Midland Street, Leicester LE1 1TG. We meet from 7pm, and you can stay for as long or as little as you wish. People normally start to head home around 9pm but many stay late.
Transport
The venue is just a ten-minute walk from Leicester Railway Station, and many major bus stops are within a five-minute walk. The Haymarket Bus Station is just ten minutes away on foot.
There is a paid car park with limited spaces at the venue. Street parking in the surrounding area is free after 6pm, and there are numerous (expensive) multistory car parks within a ten minute walk. The venue’s own transport page contains further details.
